Item was new, as described. I have other WillowTree figurines and this one has a shiney sheen on it, especially the faces, unlike any of the others that I have. I personally do not like it. Probably a fault of the manufacturer, as it certainly appeared that the box hadn't been opened until now. It is up high on a shelf so I won't have to see the shine, next to my other figurines.
