    Good repeatability ,bad accuracy, buy ring gauges with this!

    Pins are not precision ground , so if your trying to just check for out of round or if you have many ring gauges to zero out the bore gauge then will work great. But you can not take for example the 2" pin and expect that it is exactly 2 inches and there's no consistency the pins all vary and don't jump up exactly 0.2" with each pin they are off from bore size as much as 0.080 ". And only way to correct would be to have every pin precision ground. So buy some ring gauges for the bore you want to check and once zero out then it does work well and seems to be very consistent If you buy ring gauge for the bore sizes you want to check you will be happy for the money spent
