The Best Mallet at Any Price
Every hammer and mallet in my shop is an Estwing. Nothing else matches their old world quality and perfect balance. I bought this mallet specifically for tapping oak dowels into furniture and for chiseling mortises. The overall weight and balance are excellent. The dual density faces (hard rubber on one end, rigid plastic on the other) are ideal for woodworking tasks. The natural finish hickory handle is made to last a lifetime, and if I were ever to mess it up with glue, it can be sanded clean. This is an excellent old school mallet at a very good price.
