    KINGSPEC 32Gb SSD drive

    I cloned another drive to this drive using a raw copy program. When I installed this drive, the system booted up to a certain point & then reported that it could not read C: I am now waiting for another drive to arrive which is not Kingspec. There are obviously faulty sections on the memory , but when a raw copy is made it does not avoid the faulty sectors. So it is possible that this drive would work as extra storage, but not to be uses to clone a drive which includes an operating system. A freind has used the same model of drive for the exact same application without a problem. So obviously it is my bad luck that this happened.

    SSD for old laptop

    I am keeping an old laptop alive for some equipment that use a parallel port. I was fearing a hard drive failure so picked up this ssd pata drive. After cloning I was amazed by the increased performance when it booted XP in 45 seconds. I would recommend it.
