Product Information

When Hideki moves from Hokkaido to Tokyo to attend college, he quickly finds that big city life is much different than he imagined. The widespread use of Persocoms (personal computers designed to look and act like animals or humans) especially astounds him and makes him feel slightly inferior since Hideki cannot afford one. However, when he finds a discarded Persocom in the trash, Hideki sets about fixing up only to find that she can somehow operate without an OS, forcing Hideki to wonder if she is, in fact, real.

    Chobits Volume One

    This is a cute anime, but not in a childish way. It has adult aspects of it that would not necessarily be for children. It's about a "persocom", or a super computer robot that looks exactly like humans. This persocom, Chi, is a special one, that is different from all the rest. She lacks the normal hardware and seems to be custom-built. A cram-school student, Hideki, finds her in the trash and takes her in. The hilarity ensues as he has to teach Chi everything about life.
