    The book was recommended to me and the title says it all.

    Very interesting book. I wondered where, how, and why certain songs were written. The first song that hit me was Amazing Grace of which I saw the movie, and then wondered about others.

    i love reading the back story about the hymns & what made the composer write what he did. was it a joyous time? was it a sad time?
