    A very special story from the Discworld of Terry Pratchett

    Excellent addendum to Terry Pratchett's Discworld universe. Great to read aloud to kids. Even better to read aloud to grownups familiar with Commander Vimes of the Watch. The illustrations are beautiful and very witty. They are also true to the descriptions in Pratchett's novels. If you have all of the Discworld books, this is the cherry on top!

    Pratchett is always good

    Pratchett fans will recognize this as the story Sam Vimes always reads to young Sam as a bedtime story. After reading so many of the Disc World novels, it's interesting to see how Pratchett seems all the characters. Vetinari looks younger than I imagined and Dibbler does too. Sam looks about right. A fun, quick read, especially if you have a youngster to listen as you read aloud.

    A masterpiece!

    The story is not told quite as I expected; it was much better! The inclusion of Sam Vimes and Young Sam in the tale is a stroke of Pratchett genius, and the artwork perfectly complements the story. My brother, also a Terry Pratchett fan, even borrowed the book to read as a bedtime story to his daughter! Another Pratchett masterpiece!
