  • The title was misleading

I won't be saving this book in my private collection of L'Engle. This book is meant to be shared with as many others as have mothers (parents, grand, great or otherwise). Anyone who has lost a loved one much too soon but much too late, past the viability of their mortal bodies. The thoughts and feelings that are way too personal (dare I say sinful?) to express are boldly and gently placed before the reader. The empathy in shared experiences is healing. Let me say that this is not a tearjerker. I don't read "soppy" books! This book is poignant, warm, and yes even funny.
