Built Like a Little Tank, Small Footprint and All the Features Needed!
This his EQ/DI is the perfect device for my acoustic guitars. I'd originally purchased one for a D35 Martin with a FRAP pickup and it was great for getting the sound zeroed in and zapping pesky feedback. A very short time later my Fishman Platnum DI/preamp I was using for my Collings D decided to just die. I purchased another LRBaggs and it works really well for the Collings (with LRBaggs pickup system). It also has a much smaller footprint than the bulky Fishman. One other small thing: The LRBaggs comes with a nice, concise set of very helpful instructions with interesting tips. It's also powered by Phantom power or battery. No 9V DC input... This DI is professional grade. You can clean up or tweak your acoustic guitar sound, even if you already have a great sound. (Mine was already near optimal.) You can also dramatically increase the signal going to the main mixer. FOH sound engineers will love you for that. No more gain issues. It works with both passive and active pickups. Great natural sounding DI/preamp
Ive tried a few DI's and preamps trying to capture a natural tone from my upright bass without really achieving what i was after. The Para DI sounded great out of the box with the settings flat. The input gain is especially handy. My NXT passive EUB is really a weak signal compared to my upright pickup signal. A quick bump up or down in input gain keeps my final output stable between instruments. This isn't a magic tone generating machine. It replicates the natural acoustic tone while offering several tools to fight feedback, uneven EQ & weak signal strength. Built like a tank as well. Excellent DI with many additional features
Great DI with many features to shape your guitar's sound. Requires a 9v battery - red light on indicates the battery is operating. This DI has been around a long time but is still one of the best IMO. Unplug the guitar input to save the battery when not in use.

Great but not perfect
I use it as a direct box & sound eq enhancement for my piezo pickups in my electric guitars. It certainly improves the acoustic simulation but is still too thin for my taste. I will continue using it as it has great DI box features & maybe with time I can dial in a fuller sound.
