Reviews
Sanjurjo offers a history of modern art in Latin America, which will be extremely useful to both museums and art galleries, as well as to academics and practitioners in the field of contemporary visual arts., This volume...calls attention to the richness of artistic production of post-WW II Latin American art...academic libraries, all levels., ...represents a major archival effort that scholars of specific artists, countries, museums, and other institutional practices will find extremely helpful...provides an opportunity to examine the history of Latin American exhibitions in Washington, D.C., the study of which would be useful to the understanding of inter-American cultural relations., Very well organized and indexed...very beneficial to researchers...an important source within the contemporary art field., Collections serious about twentieth-century art, Latin America, or both need to take a serious look at both volumes of OAS exhibition history. Only institutional poverty will justify passing on either one.
