It features a hyper-sonic motor for quick AF control and 1.3 times better torque than the previous model. This 85-millimeter lens can also be used with the Sigma MC-11 mount adapter, allowing it to be used by Sony E-mount camera users.

    Very nice lens, practically brand new!

    I was very impressed by how clean this Sigma lens looked when it arrived. It looked brand new. The glass was really clean and the autofocus was fast and accurate. The images from my Nikon D4 came out really sharp. Very happy with this lens. Thank you!

    At least my copy wasn't the fantastic Zeiss Otus-beater.

    I compared this lens to my Sigma 24-105mm zoom at 85mm and F/5.6 and F/7.1, and to my surprise, the zoom was as sharp in the center of the frame at F5.6 as the prime. Since my use was landscape photography scenery compression, I couldn't justify keeping a $1000 lens just for some minor extra corner sharpness. I had also recently purchased the Sigma 40mm Art, and it was sharper across the frame. But for a portrait lens, the fast 85mm Sigma Art would probably be great.

    Thee Focus ring felt to me a bit loose.

    Only issue I have is that the Focus ring was a bit loose. And i don't know if it's suppose to be like that. Other wise this lens is perfection!!
