Purple dragon Spyro continues his huffing, puffing, and gliding in this follow-up to 2006's A New Beginning. The dreaded Ape King has reached the Temple of Souls, and the world is on the brink of chaos. Players must guide the determined dragon in a quest to stop the Ape King and learn more about the mysterious visions lurking within Spyro's dreams. To help Spyro defeat his enemies, The Eternal Night introduces the following four upgradeable breath attacks: ice bomb, electric orb, earth vine, and enhanced fire. Spyro also expands his repertoire of ground-based moves with the comet dash, arctic blast, earth pound, and electric spin. Perhaps the most notable change to the series is the addition of "dragon time," a Matrix-like ability to slow time to solve puzzles, fight enemies, and dodge potential hazards. Actors Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman return to provide the voice-overs for Spyro and Ignitus, respectively.

Spyro Fun
Being older and newer to gaming I was worried about being able to play the game well or at all. I loved the first spyro for Playstation (1998) but could not play the PS3 game that came out last year (Spyro- Dawn of the Dragon). I use the wii remote and nunchuck instead of the classic controller. This Wii game is fun and easy to learn. Probably boring for someone with advanced gaming skills but perfect for someone new into gaming and kids.Being older and newer to gaming I was worried about being able to play the game well or at all. Good game...easy to follow
Though challenging at spots, this game is really easy to follow (gives you instructions the first time you have to do a certain task) making it nice for people who haven't played Spyro games before, but has what seems to be a continued story line which is nice for people that have. Cute little dragon, cute little game, and you can usually get a used copy pretty cheap ( $15) so it's worth adding to your collection.Though challenging at spots, this game is really easy to follow (gives you instructions the first time you have to do a certain task) making it nice for people who haven't played Spyro games before, but has what seems to be a continued story line which is nice for people that have. The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night (Wii)
I fell in love with Spyro when playing earlier games, but this one took me by suprise. It is a bit more difficult for me to play then the other spyro games that I have played before which makes this one more interesting to me. Its more of a challenging. A great game for anyone who loves a good story line and challenging gameplay!
