    A Raisin in the Sun (2008 DVD)

    This DVD is a newer version of the play and has Shawn P. Diddy Combs, Felicia Rashad, and John Stamos. It follows the play nearly perfectly. The actors do a marvelous job. I bought the DVD because my class was reading the play and wanted to watch the movie. I thought the updated version would be more appealing to my students. I was right. They absolutely loved it. It is so close to original play that our compare/contrast essay became more compare than anything. It only had a couple of moments of bad language, but less than the actual play. Overall, it was an excellent adaptation of the play.

    The real deal

    This was a great work of art! This movie base on the Broadway P, was so real. Th everyday life of a hardworking family, and hope being obtained and lost had so much passion. This movie brings real life back to the screen and shows you don't have to have all the bells and whistles and filth for a top movie! The acting was over the top and at the end of the movie I just wanted to hug my family.
