About this product

Product Information

"I can't figure out if this book is a heart-felt dispatch from the front line in the battle of the sexes or a brilliant send-up of the way in which the male point of view has been misrepresented by militant feminists. I suspect it may be both." --Toby Young, New York Times bestselling author of How to Lose Friends and Alienate People An offensive, in-your-face, brutally honest and completely hilarious look at male inner life and sexual fantasy. In the course of this hilariously honest book, our narrator suffers through a relationship with his wannabe-actress girlfriend until he finds the perfect girl. But when he moves into the new relationship, he slowly realizes he thinks that all women are pretty much the same, that his true desires will never be fulfilled, and the decision between living life alone or biting the marriage bullet must be made.

  • Not for everyone

    I was asked to buy this book by my 17 year old son. He wanted to read it for school. When I got the book, I read the first couple chapters. It is not very appropriate for a school book report. Between the constant thoughts about sex and profanity, I didn't think it was a good idea to let him read this in classs. As an adult, however, I found this book very funny. I've only read the first few chapters but it is an easy read and makes you laugh. I told my son he can read it this summer (he'll be 18 by then).

  • Hilarious!

    Chad Kultgen's first novel is dark, vulgar, and hilarious. If you like Charles Bukowski-- Kultgen is for you!

  • The Average American Male by Chad Kultgen

    Great book if you are an average American male. It will make you laugh and Kultgen does a pretty good job of wrapping up the whole story in the end. The only problem is that it can NOT be read in the presence of any average American females. It can not be even laid on a coffee table where it might be seen by an average American female. Regardless though, it was a great book and a quick read.

  • Overhyped

    Ever since I was told about this book I had an itch to buy it and read it. I finally did and was gravely disappointed. Kultgen is as immature of an author as his protagonist is as a human. I don't know why everyone thinks it's funny. It is just 240 boring pages of graphic descriptions of sex and the protagonist's small life. I really hope this trend blows over quickly.

  • A++ book

    Worth buying!!!
