    Making sense of the Night at the Opera by Queen

    This film consists of a series of video clips and interviews (including Brian May and Roger Taylor) that illuminate the circumstances (personal and societal) of the making of A Night At The Opera. It is entertaining, informative, and well focused. Intended for those who care about the particulars of the record and the band.

    Queen:Making of A Night at the Opera DVD

    I had decided to buy this DVD after I watched the "Making of A Night at the Opera" on VH1 classic albums channel. If you are a true Queen fan, please buy this DVD. You will not be sorry. It is very well done and has lengthy interviews with Brian May and Roger Taylor. This is not a shoddy, slapped together video of Queen performing or shots of them recording "A Night at the Opera". May and Taylor tell WHY they made the album. The reason surprised me. This DVD is very poignant and bitter sweet. I laughed at some of the recollections May and Taylor had and my wife cried when they talked about Freddie. You will learn from this DVD just what good friends the men in the band called Queen were.

    Worth Every Penny!

    This is another great installment of the classic album series. It was worth every penny and I would recomend it. I would have liked to see more on the technical aspect of using 2 and 3 multi track machines. It is only touched on briefly. Be sure to check out the bonus material that is included. As with the other albums in this series, the parts they cut out for tv are some of the best material. I enjoyed seeing Queen with Groucho Marx. That's something you won't see every day!
