Product Information

In the fifth novel in #1 New York Times bestselling author Jan Karon's beloved series, fans old and new will discover that when it comes to Mitford, absence only make the heart grow fonder... Mitford's longtime Episcopal priest, Father Tim, has retired. But new challenges and adventures await when he agrees to serve as interim minister of a small church on Whitecap Island. He and his wife, Cynthia, soon find that Whitecap has its own unforgettable characters: a church organist with a mysterious past, a lovelorn bachelor placing personal ads, a mother battling paralyzing depression. Whitecap has more than its fair share of challenges, but in the end, Father Tim and Cynthia find that Mitford is never far away when circumstances back home keep their phone ringing off the hook...

    A New Song

I have been captured by this author and plan to continue the remainder of this series of her books. I will be sad when I’ll be finished reading last one will be … I’m very thankful to my friend that recommended this series of 14 books. Love the characters and feel like I know them personally 🤗

  • A New Song

I bought the first book at a store that had used books included in their things for sale. While reading the book I was hooked and looking at the first pages, realized they were a series. I went to a used book store and accidently but happily found only two of Jan Karon's books, one was the one that I was reading at the time and the other happened to be book two which I purchased very quickly. After doing research and learning how much it was going to cost to purchase the rest of the series from the published, I happened to remember purchasing some books a couple years before from e-bay, so I went to the website and found all of the rest of the series. I love reading these books because not only do they are so well written that you actually feel like you are right there in Mitford while you ...

  • Mitford Books

This book is part of the Mitford Series. If you start reading this series, you wont' be able to stop. It is a fun, fictional, inspirational series well worth your time. They are fulfilling books but are easy to pick up just when you have the time.

  • Wonderful

This is a wonderful book from a great series about the life of an Episcopal priest. I have read this series before but it was from borrowed books and I wanted to re-read from my own copies. I have the entire series. The character Cynthia reminds me of my own wife of 43 years who I lost to cancer in 2011. There are parts of these books that make me laugh and a few that make me cry. Jan Karon is a wonderful writer. All though I am a Pentecost, I have found these books to be very warm and inspiring.
