  • This is an amazing game!

The Sega Genesis brought many fun games durring the 1990's. Of these many games Trouble Shooter was among them. Released in 1991 it was developed by Vic Tokai. At the time it included some of the most vibrant graphics, catchy music and responsive controls on the system. The player takes control of Madison and her partner Crystal shooting enimies to save the prince who has been kidnapped. It is one of the unique shooter games that doesn't have a 1 hit kill for the player, instead you can be hit a few times before failing the level. There is only one life per game (with up to 3 continues depending of the difficulty level) which adds to the challenge. The only thing really missing is two player mode, which for some will make the game less enjoyable. If you own a Sega Genesis or Mega Drive, I ...

  • Great game held back by many things

Trouble Shooter is an excellent shooter that has few quirks holding it back in the overall scale of things. While the controls are tight and responsive, the level design leaves a lot to desire at time, relying on complete memorization and cheap tricks with the stage's movement. The music is nothing to write home about, but fits to the mood. Sadly, most if just are too muted under all the special effects. Nervertheless, Trouble Shooter is a must-own game for any game library that values good games. Despite its flaws, it's game that grows unto people. It has great value and challenge.

  • Blackball is at it again, Col. Patch calls-in the Trouble Shooters!

Great non-traditional old school shmup(shoot'em-up). I was pleasently surprised by the nice graphics and nimble control response. The mechanic of being able to have your second girl shot forward or backward actually goes a long way to staving off the sometimes boring shooter formula. It makes the moment to moment action more engading. Being able to choose a loadout before each level was nice too. The game is pretty unique and has a rediculous sense of humor. This is my favorite genesis shooter.

  • A must own

This is a hidden gem for the Genesis. You play as a heroine attempting to rescue a prince in this one of a kind shoot em up.
