    Anne Oliver Bell & Quentin Bell have edited & introduced this, the last of British activist author, Virginia Woolf's diary entries in 1941 (Volume 5). Virginia Stephen Woolf lived from 1882 through 1941. She was British but lived in France when she died, on March 28th, 1941. Hitler's genocidal maniacs were on their way to Woolf's & her Jewish husband's home just before she drowned herself. She suffered from what was probably bi-polar disorder and states that she couldn't undergo another siege of 'madness'. However, as an anti-war pacifist, with the country she was living in becoming Nazi occupied, Woolf had extra causes to be suicidal. These are her last written and published words, as far as I know.
