  • Interesting book!

I've only just started this book, but find it quite compelling. The author writes in a warm style, very comfortable to read. I am not Jewish, and the entire book is based on the Jewish faith and way of life, but the author does a good job of explaining terms and customs for the non-Jew. One thing that I find distracting is the persistent use of "G-d" and "L-rd" in the text rather than "God" and "Lord", however that also is something that some Jewish writers do as an act of respect (also explained in the text). I tend to stumble on it every time, though, and it takes away from the reading experience. I'm looking forward to getting deeper into the stories, and perhaps this will become less important.

  • The Committed Life

Full of life lessons with vivid and practical examples throughout the entire book. This book allows to recognize the values that truly matters, set aside the busyness of the world and enjoy those things that will really yearn to cherish.
