This is the one of the first books I have read which I have at least 20 that has so much information that I did not know I've been green cleaning now for at least 12 years maybe 15 but this book has more information then I had an any of my other books it may be older 1997 which makes it even better if you can find it by it if you're serious Green Cleaner

Leave behind chemicals and high prices
This book teaches you how to make inexpensive cleaning supplies for your whole house. The author has tried each recipe herself and gives you estimates on prices for each one. The prices are a bit old but you can add a few cents and get the idea how much cheaper it is to make your own cleaning supplies. One thing I was struck by was how much more simple it is to make your own cleaing supplies and how old fashioned cleaning supplies can be just as good as new ones. Leave behind the chemicals and use what God gave us to clean our houses.This book teaches you how to make inexpensive cleaning supplies for your whole house. I bought this book on the recommendation of a friend who has become very aware of and concerned about the toxins we encounter in our environment on a daily basis. In addition to avoiding many cleaning products with strong and unpleasant odors, using the solutions in this book help produce cleaners with pleasant aromas, and are effective as well as very inexpensive. The author describes exactly what she uses for each cleaning task, gives a specific recipe, estimates cost (although a bit outdated now) and also gives her opinion of how effective each product is compared to commmercial cleaners. Not all products are for everyone, but I have found it worth the time to make my own basic cleansers and would recommend the book for at least that purpose. They are effective and pleasant smelling. ... This is THE book to buy for home made cleaning; it is the best.
Wonderful book! I switched to home made products after becoming disabled, and could not afford store bought products. I have several books, but THIS IS THE ONE TO BUY. The writer is witty, so it is fun to read, far better than reading complicated recipes. I like the book because the recipes are simple, and one does not have to spend a fortune on exotic products. She explains the "why", which really helps. The only downside is that the book was written in 1997, so some of the "resources" are not available on the internet. However, the only resources I looked for were her bottles (which can be bought at container store or dollar store). The other were the essential oils. There are numerous places to buy the oils, but be careful, not all are good quality. Even eBay sells containers for ... Wonderful book!
