The disc came scratched unfortunately. However the seller was very quick and polite in addressing the issue and issuing a total refund without much hassle. Would deal with them again.

Love the movie and the music. Don't have time to watch the movie while I work, so can listen to the music . Very good soundtrack.

  • The epitomy of yester year Spagetti Western Movie sound.

I agree with everything everybody else said about this soundtrack but I would add that it also deserves a high quality sound system. In my case the omnidirectional speaker approach as executed by Ohm Walsh or Mirage speakers and preferably an amplifier such as a classic NAD 2200, 2400, 2600a or 2700 of which I have two of. The bass tracks are the kind you only heard in the movie houses of the sixties or seventies, not boomy but tightly controlled with much expressive definition, the kind that sloooowly swells up and declares its majesty with class upon the orchestral stage, not abruptly like a 300 pound swine crashing off the vaudeville stage upon the clueless and indifferent rabble below. And the jaw dropping chorals that make you cry.....absolute nirvana.. and when the fat lady ...

  • Once Upon A Time In The West - Soundtrack CD

I love the soundtrack to this old Western movie though I can't bring myself to play it all the time. It has great old school production values but there are just certain elements in the entire album that make it sound too bare or depressing at times to hear every day or every week. This album has some very bewitchingly dark instrumental tunes to accent some of the deeply somber killing and revenge that goes on in the film. In fact some of that darkness is unnerving like in the track Death Rattle which is mostly done with some pretty slow but building dissonant harmonica phrases that keep getting more slurred until we reach that final execution climax. There are also some not so dark tracks too like A Dimly Lit Room and Jill's America that remind us of the more living ...

  • EXCELLENT CD! BRAND NEW! SELLER RECOMMENDED!

well I am a western movie fanatic and I love Ennio Morricone's mus ic. The quality of the CD is the same as if I would have purchased it on a music store. Well is a brand new CD, and everything else is new. The case, the labels, great seller. And the best part is the price! I love it because this CD is a western classic.

  • Best of the spaghetti westerns

Composed and conducted by Ennio Morricone, In 1969 for Sergio Leone's epic western to match all american western of the 1800's. Both men worked together on The good, the bad and the ugly, A fistful of dollars and For a few dollars more. This has the best score of the four movies. Ennio Morricone also composed the score for the Untouchables. The CD has been digitally remastered so the sound is better than it ever was on other recordings. I recomend anything by Ennio Morricone
