My Greek Aunt is reknowned among family and friends in Greece for her cooking, and she gave me an edition of this book almost twenty years ago when I moved out on my own. I was excited to receive her own cook book with her notes in the margins stating at which party she tried this and that recipe. Now I give this book out frequently as a gift to those who compliment my cooking. Every recipe I've tried is fantastic and it's perfectly written for those cooking in an American kitchen. The historical notes and drawings are great too. It is the best (and only worn out one) of all my cookbooks, Greek or other!
