    Excellent version of this movie.

    I can actually hear the soundtrack. I am hard of hearing and I have the VHS version but I could not understand what was being said, and with no closed captioning. I researched the DVDs available and this one seemed to fit the bill. I was not disappointed.

    Classic 70's WWII movie gets the Blu-ray treatment

    Sir Richard Attenborough directs Sean Connery, Gene Hackman, Anthony Hopkins, James Caan and Robert Redford in this gripping and controversial tale about a daring WWII military operation made in 1977 and transferred to blu-ray for a 2008 release. Decent audio & video. No extras to speak of. Wait for a good deal on this one. A good movie but not worth paying the list price. If my review helps you please click the [YES]. Thanks!

    If you like your war movies big, this one's for you.

    A great film. A throwback from when epic films were made with epic casts and lots of memorable, big scenes. The last of it's kind. A decent transfer. It may not be up to The Longest Day, or Bridge on River Kwai remaster standards. But it is a noticeable improvement over the DVD. No extras is the only real problem. Where's the extras? There should've been plenty for a film this grand and with this many still alive stars and crew. One of the best WWII films. With a good Blu-ray transfer.

    A bridge too far I actually never seen this movie but when I did this is outstanding I mostly got it for the late great Sean Connery
