Only one drawback
These seem to be well enough constructed plates. I haven't been running them very long so time will tell as to their longevity and durability. The only gripe I have so far is the fact I had to take off a little bit of material out of the slots where they slide onto the clutch dogs..they were too tight out of the box to slide over them and into the clutch basket. I had also installed new clutch dogs so that may have had something to do with it. It was no big deal though...a Dremel tool, a comfortable seat, some Eagles on the stereo and a couple of beers later and they fit like a glove! Great price and seem to be holding up very well so far. I run a 120" Ultima but don't get crazy on it but every now and then, I like to open it up. The fact that I had to work on them is the only reason I ... Excellent performance so far.
Good quality at an excellent price. Have been running them in a BDL 3" open belt setup for about two months now and so far the performance has been great, shifts really smooth. The plates really quieted down the clutch chatter noise...open belts are usually a little loud. The Alto plates got good reviews online and so far I'm pleased.
