    I would not recomend it for young children

    I got this book because my son visited Grand Canyon and took a picture with the model on display. He read the book when he was a child. Its like going back in time.

    Great little paperback that fills the hand and mind with delight.

    Anything by Marguerite Henry and Wesley Dennis is a keeper. If you have ever been to the Grand Canyon or if you plan to go, read this book, young or old, like all their books there is painless learning and inspiration. I hope some day to have a complete library of all Henry's books in mint condiition 1st editions, but in the mean time I can hold this easily and read it to my grandkids and not be worried about sticky hands.

    Brighty, a great donkey and a great story

    This is a great little historical yarn about a donkey and the Grand Canyon in the early years. Good for kids and adults who are about to visit this National treasure. We booked our mule ride to the bottom as soon as it was read. Brighty is memorialized in bronze in the back lobby of the NPS lodge at the North rim. A great place to visit and a great book to read. Enjoy!
