About this product

Product Information

The second release in a series of three, .hack//G.U.: Vol. 2 -- Reminisce takes place in a fictional MMO environment called The World. As in previous releases of .hack, The World features elements of online gaming without the actual connection. Gamers interact with people they might find in a real MMO, take on quests, and adventure across a large environment as they increase their level.

In this version of The World, gamers find the once-utopian landscape is now a player killer's (PKers) heaven. A bug in the game is blocking the log-off ability to all fictional gamers; effectively locking them into The World. Now, bands of PKers prey on every character in their path hoping that the slaughter knocks them out of the game and back into real life.

Gamers take the role of Haseo, a killer of players who is stuck in the game. Haseo must work his way through The World by interacting with other character, defeating enemies in dungeon sprawls, and by completing assigned objectives. Navigation through the game requires the use of Warp points located around the map.

  • Big step from rebirth

First off .hack Reminisce is an awesome game,I would suggest if you play this game it would be better to start of with Rebirth, and play the series through, its a much better experience that way. So this is the second in the series so I kind of knew what to expect, but there is a lot of new upgrades in this game apart from Rebirth.First the steam bike stuff, the 3rd form of Haseo, and numerous other stuff I'm to lazy to explain, but you get the idea. But the game itself is very fun and addictive, the avatar battles are very fun to!But there is numerous stuff to do in this game,so many conquests and missions to take on you will always be busy with something in any part of the game.I transferred from Rebirth so I got into the game right away,as I did with the original .hacks.I'm in the process of ...

  • .Hack//G.U. Reminisce

Following on the heels of Volume 1: Rebirth, this installment takes off right where the first left off. In true .Hack fashion, it answers a couple of questions and creates a dozen more right off the bat. An excellent addition to any fans of the .Hack franchise, even people never having seen or played a .Hack anything will enjoy it as it has good pick-up-and-play mechanics that are easy to learn. The story and characters do an excellent job of drawing you in, though there is a lot to lose if you haven't previously played Rebirth besides the ability to carry over your save data. A good buy on its own, a superb part of a series.

  • Continued excelence!

Sequels have to live up to (and ideally surpass) their predecessors to earn those good reviews, and the G.U. series does not fall short of it's expectations. Picking up right where the first game off, we get beautiful scenes, action filled fights and character upgrades that make for a thrilling and fun adventure. While the system remains largely unchanged (if it's not broke, why fix it?) the additions to battle (new skill triggers, awakenings, general gameplay, and story) make the game continuously exciting and surprisingly not repetitive at all (remember the first 4 .hack// games? dungeon after dungeon after dungeon x_x) If you're a fan of the .hack// series then you shouldn't miss out on this game, further, if you're an RPG fan, then you shouldn't miss out on this series.

  • .hack G.U. vol 2

This game proves that after it's previous 5 games that .hack still knows what they are doing in terms of not only game play, but in terms of story line. There is improvement in each of the field of the game. Not only with fighting, but also in the little details of the bike and the added card game. Even though you lose the pleasure of hearing the character voices when you want to trade the game definitely makes up for this loss. .hack also continues with it's cliff ending ability that will want you see to the end, the fate of Haseo and his band. For those who purchased and had clear data from the first game will be happy to know that not only do you get the advantage of items, but the ability to watch the first episode of the show. This addition also includes many new characters to help ...
