THE FALL GUY ran for five seasons on ABC in the early 1980s, and starred Lee Majors as stuntman Colt Seaver. Seaver's day job doesn't really pay the bills, so he uses his spare time to make some extra cash as a bounty hunter, employing his cousin, Howie (Douglas Barr), and intern, Jody (Heather Thomas), to help him out. All of Seaver's stuntman skills come to the fore as he chases criminals--most of the shows feature plenty of action-packed car chases and death defying stunts. Lee Majors at his BEST. GREAT SERIES.
The Six Million Dollar Man is The Fall Guy. In 1981 Lee Majors was to TV what Burt Reynolds was to the movies. Both were at the top of their game, except Lee had Farrah Fawcett. Lee shows the world what it is like to be a Hollywood Stuntman. Falling off of tall buildings, jumping out of airplanes WITHOUT a parachute, driving cars that BLOW UP, etc. He also chases bad guys and makes love to many beautiful women. UNFORGETTABLE, THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE...
As a die hard fan of Lee Majors I loved each and every moment of this show at first sight. It had everything to become a tv hit (as, in fact, it did):action,positive values,fun,great humour and two first class heartrobs. If handsome Colt Seavers won every gal's heart, cute Jodie Banks (Heather Thomas)did the same with male audience. Moreover,for the first time, this series let people see show business from inside i.e. what's behind a movie and its final result: hard work, discipline, dangerous stunts... That's why I'd say that The Fall Guy was, and still is, a pioneer in its genre. Watching it again, makes me relive my teen days and let me appreciate forgotten or unseen details of the series, first of all Lee's own voice (the show was dubbed). To all the fans around the world: let memories ... As a die hard fan of Lee Majors I loved each and every moment of this show at first sight. A Fun Blast From The Past
After being a lawyer and a superstrong secret agent, Lee Majors wanted to do something different. The perfect role soon came along: a Hollywood stuntman turned bounty hunter between gigs. With a dopey sidekick and a sexy copilot, "Colt Severs" chased 'em down every week, providing plenty of action, a dolop of humor and a dash of sentimentality. What made it best was that just as on The Six Million Dollar Man, Colt was a real person, vulnerable -- even breakable -- and you always rooted for him because, as the song said: he did the work and took the risks, while the star always got the fame and the girl. As he schooled cousin Howie in the fine points of staying alive, we got to see anew each week what fun even serious stuff could be. And also like in the bionic world, some of the "bad" ... It's a good show to watch ONCE, but if future seasons come out, I think I'll rent them rather than buying. Unlike some other fun shows of the era, none of these stories really rate as repeat viewing delights. On the other hand, the extra features here on the Unknown Stuntman song and the creation and development of the idea for the show do cast a nostalgic light back on a period we never thought we'd feel that way about. There are six discs here, stored space-saver style, front to front in ultraslim cases. My final verdict: If you enjoyed it back in the day and/or are a Lee Majors fan, this set MIGHT be worth the $20 I paid for it. Otherwise, skip it. There's too much else worth buying -- including the bionic shows, some of which are REAL classics. Oh, and if you want to think of Majors as forever young, DO NOT watch the extra features.

Awesome Show!
I bought the first season and the show was even better than I remember. it's got romance, mystery, action, and awesome stunts. After watching the first season I couldn't wait to purchase the next four seasons only to realize that they've only put the first season on DVD. I was so disappointed and hope that they release the other seasons soon!

Fall Guy is a great watch.
The Fall Guy was a great series. Fun for watching sporadically, as there isn't a story arch that goes on for the whole season. The stunts are impressive, and watching it makes me aware of how unimpressive TV shows from the modern era are. Lee Majors is always fun to watch.
