Overall simple to set up (use the manual if not familiar with CItizen Eco watches), never needs a battery, minimum exposure to light (sun or artificial) to stay charged, low charge indication via second hand behaviour. There is no back light and the hour and minute hands stop glowing within 2 hours. Nice looking watch, but I definitely wouldn't call it a pilot watch. I found it useless when flying at night.
