The GE A830 features 8 megapixels, Face Detection and shoots up to 1600 ISO. Shooting with the GE A830 is comfortable and easy. There is a slight shutter lag, even with the flash turned off, so you need to adjust to the delay. It also seemed as though pictures shot close-up displayed brilliant colors, while those shot from a distance were more washed out or discolored.The scene modes are handy, covering most shooting scenarios. It's nice that it features some specialty scene modes like foliage, beach, aquarium and night portrait. The camera does make it easy to capture a nice portrait, which is a use that will come in handy for most beginner photographers. With 8 megapixels, images can be printed in large sizes.

Seller took more than 2 weeks to ship item, lied about it, packaged it terribly and did not photograph the areas of extreme damage nor note any specific damage in description. The seller handled the return request with an attitude and took no responsibility for their behavior, not even offering an apology. Packaging needs improvement too.

    Good Camera for th $$$$

    Maybe not the best ever, but great for the money.... BIG view screen. Pix are clear, camera powers on and off fast, zoom pix look OK (not perfect). I am a pretty big fan. One issue is that a standard usb dont fit, you have to either buy a special one (got it on eBay for $7 shipped) or a memory card which is about 10 bucks. As good as my wifes $275 Kodak, maybe not, but close.

    Watch dealings with liquidationjunkies as they sell broken merchandise. Although it was listed down the page it was not something my 12 year old picked up. Just what every kid wants to buy with their paper route money is'nt that right Kevin? Ya Sham..........
