Item was packaged nicely and arrived just as described. Ordered on a Tuesday and didn’t ship until Friday. Communication was not the best. Took a day to get reply’s to my messages. Have bought from seller previously without issue. Not sure what was problem with this order.

I’ve ordered from this seller multiple times and this as well as previous orders have been as advertised, arrived promptly, and have been at very fair prices. I’ve spoken with their customer service and they too were very helpful.

  • Rebuild kit for CRF450x

Kit came with all the necessary parts. Saved a good chunk of money over a new one. Took me a few hours to install. I'd never rebuilt a starter before, so some learning was required. I watched Rick's YouTube video a few times. My starter was a little different than the one in the video, but the video was still useful. I recommend taking some pictures of the old one, as you're disassembling. I had to use the parts diagram drawing for my bike to make sure I put all the pieces back in properly. Also, it took some work and ingenuity to remove the old bearing and bushing. The bearing was easy to press out using a bolt and a couple of correctly sized sockets. I ended up threading a bolt into the old bushing, then used my vice to hold it as I drove it out with a hammer.

  • Works good.

It worked well for me, to install watch slavens videos, to pay him back buy some parts on his site. Use mechanics teasers with rubber bands or rubber O rings to hold teasers tight to hold brushes in place while installing. You may reuse the old brass bushing if tight as new one. That is what I did, I used old bushing, can use calipers to check. I did replace the needle bearing.

  • Never again

For my application it was not a good choice. It didn’t have any directions at all. Also came with what appears to be extra parts and when I tried to call for support, I got no answer or even a call back. A guy needs 8 hands to get the brushes in place. For a few more bucks I could have gotten a whole new starter. Never again!

  • great kit- much cheaper than buying a new starter

little tricky getting the new brushes captured while slipping them over the armature, but starter is singing again!
