    Robust and Solid Camera*****

This is a very robust and solid made Camera from back in the days. Metall and hard impackt plast Body,Solid as a Tank! It would bee too exspensive making them like this to day. It is anno 2000 so it is not a "Racer, but it is 100%jolly to use it. Warm colors,VERY sharp picktures and reliable. A Camera for entusiasts. FIVE stars Camera from Sony .

  • Sony Cybershot DSC -S 75 review

I previously owned this camera and managed to get it wet on the beach. Even though it is several years old and does not have the largest megapixels, etc., it still takes great pictures. I hate the fact that it uses the original memory stick which is usually about 64 or 128 meg and does not hold many pictures. That's a real disadvantage since you can no longer buy them. The quality of the photos is outstanding though.

  • Good camera for the price

Bought this camera because of the cheap price,to replace my Olympus to take pictures at my sons 5th birthday. My Olympus was MIA. Ended up finding it the day before the party, but still used it to try it! Was very satisfied w/ the pictures. They were almost as good as the ones w/ my more expensive camera. It was a little more complicated to use than my Olympus. It didn't come w/ a manual though.I ended up donating it to my son's preschool class ,which my son's teacher was very excited about! Her assistant has the same camera and knew how to use it!

  • Fantastic workhorse that still works great

Bought mine in 2003 for my sister-in-laws wedding for over $600. Liked it so much that I had to buy another in 2005 on eBay (much less, natch) since my wife and I competed on who was to use it. Stills are fantastic quality in medium light and better. In low light, the auto focus is iffy, so I try to use manual focus then. On occasion, the auto focus even in good light is off (as happens with a lot of digital cameras) so my rule always is, take two shots if possible. Also, I highly recommend getting a lens adapter ring (Sony VAD-S70) and a UV/neutral filter to protect that great Carl Zeiss lens. I never use a lens cap with these, and I toss my S75 around a lot, just throwing it into my briefcase. The adapter makes it a bit bigger (and with extreme close-ups like 1 ft, flash is 5% blocked ...

  • Excellent - perfect workmanship, design, functionality

This is an excellent Sony product. The design is very smart, functionality is very user-friendly and compact, well packed into a small space. Every little space is well used in the design and correlated with other functions. The pixels is more than enough for great pictures. The small memory is plenty for 500 pictures! I have used it for 6 months and am still discovering new things that I can do with this small camera with the super big capability. It can even take a small movie video! The colors are brilliant, focus is great, from a little speck to the horizon. Since it is 7 or 8 years old the price is great too. You just can't beat this Sony workmanship and intelligent design. This one is fantastic.
