Sharp looking, but not high quality
The Vapor/Smoke/Energy reels look sweet & have great specs listed on the box/website, but I am NOT impressed with them one bit! Today's Vapor/Smoke/Energy reels do not have the smooth feel when retrieving a cast like the old Catalyst/Kinetic reels. The Vapor, Smoke, and Energy reels have a heavy feel when winding in a Whopper Plopper / buzz bait that is not present in the retrieval of Whopper Ploppers with my Catalyst 10 & 40 reels. Maybe it's a quality control / bad batch that I rec'd, but what are the chances of feeling the same sensation in all 3 models? That also tells me that there's not an inch difference between the 3 models except A HIGHER PRICE POINT! I have 4 Quantum Vapor Reels
I have 2 spinning and 2 casting Vapor reels. They perform beautifully. Light weight, good drag systems and I like the cork handles. My only complaint is that my line will sometimes get wound under the spool when retrieving with the spinning reels. It is kind of a pain to take the spool off and unwind the line when it happens, but overall I am pleased with their performance and value.

Great reel!!
So far, the Vapor has performed as expected from a higher end Quantum reel. Bought the 25 for perch fishing lake erie paired with a 5' St.Croix panfish ultralight. Ive always had good luck with Quantum reels, and have a couple Smoke Pts that are also great spinning reels. So far, the Vapor has not been a disappointment in any way, would buy another.
