Apple TV (3rd Gen). Just Brilliant!!
Bought to stream video & audio to tv, had previously tried two different AV leads without any luck (would only work with audio) I have read that IPad will now not support video out by this method. Unit was easy to set up using HDMI to tv & automatically connected itself to my internet,I have also connected my sound bar via the optical connection so I don't even have to have the tv on now to listen to my music collection. Have not tried all the catch up services yet but no problem with BBC & ITV so far, but does not support certain video types which is a pity although this was mentioned in the description, mirroring feature & some video do not fill the entire TV screen but I am still working on this. All in all I am more than happy with my purchase as it has opened a ... Best money you will spend to complete your Apple line up.
I bought this product because if like me you love your iPhone or iPod touch and are generally an Apple addict , this product will pull it all together. The main benefit of this item has to be the way everyone can enjoy all your music,video and photo albums,easier on the eyes on a tv size screen. The quality of this item is to be admired, as always Apple have thought about this. All the features are yet another journey of discovery. Only gripe is to do with the facility where your iPhone or iPad should be able to be used as a remote for the Apple TV, the iPhone appears to work but the Ipad refuses to recognise the home sharing, no doubt a glitch that might be cleared up on update. As a Sky subscriber with all the packages this product adds another route through for films to other ... Connects through your wireless router and a simple hdmi connection to your TV, installs itself and finds all your own files through ICloud .

Great product, great value, and so easy to use, you can't go wrong!
I purchased the Apple TV to compliment my I pad and I phone. I do not use net flicks etc, however the way it can be used to wifi connect and stream your photos or movies to your television is great. Even The kids connect and view their pictures it shows everything with great clarity. Other devices I have used are not so easy to set up nor do they run so smooth. Get one you would wonder how you ever did without it.I purchased the Apple TV to compliment my I pad and I phone. Easy to install. Almost hassle free.
If you already have other mac stuff, this is an easily installed way of tying them together, image-wise. It gets 1 star knocked off for forgetting everything if unplugged. You have to re-establish the wifi link (not a problem, just a small irritation). I have MacBook and an iPhone. My photos are also in the iCloud so I can access them direct on the big TV screen.

Get one, you will not regret it
An essential piece for your home system. After much deliberation I finally settled on buying Apple TV. Main reason for buying I must admit was to be able to stream content off my macbook wirelessly on my Samsung TV. It is handy to have this for many more reasons though. I can play music directly from my iphone through the same sound system, stream netflix movies directly on TV, watch Apple TV movies directly and so much more ... question is, why did I wait so long to get one?An essential piece for your home system.
