    EXPOSES THE POLITICS, SCIENCE & CORPORATE GREED

    Interesting, scary and enlightening. When various chapters are compared to common knowledge it fits directly to current events. Amongst the older generation, much easier to follow the proverbial trail of crumbs. From 70's science has redefined the tenants of what defines FOOD. Don't believe that what is considered edible can be considered food. One is absolutely not the other. Corp. greed has publicized, advertised, bullied and mislead the world into a false world of artificial comfort and wellness. All that need doing is to read the book and visit local super market to verify. Prepare to be upset, scared and angry. 25 years ago, there was not the numbers of obesity, Diabetes and other ailments. Read the book and THINK. Time to wake up. Absolutely amazing are the roles business and ...

    Definitely a book I will never forget.

    I bought this book for my english class and was dreading reading it at first. I figured it would be boring telling me stuff I already knew but that wasn't the case at all. From the get go it turned out to be extrememly interesting. It explores every level of the fast food industry from where it originated all the way down to the ranchers who raise the cattle that are used to make the hamburgers we eat on a daily basis. The end of the book does get pretty graphic when Schlosser is describing the slaughter house and all the accidents that occur there...that was kind of disturbing to read but other than that it is a fantastic book!

    Fast Food Nation

    I purchased this book because it had been recommended by my son. The author has done a tremendous investigative job on what the fast food industry has done to this and other countries. It is also frightening because you start thinking about everything you eat. Agribusiness has done both a service and disservice to each and everyone of us. If you are a fast food junkie or only eat it occassionally, this book will open your eyes.

    Do You Eat? Then This is Worth a Read

    Yes, it's worth a few minutes of anyone's time. Fast Food Nation will present more information about what American eats -and the people who provide it- than you may be able to handle. The book served as the basis for a film (also titled "Fast Food Nation") that is well worth two hours of your life. The movie is based on one small section of the book. Try the film, if you want more, get the book.

    Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser (2002)

    Fast Food Nation is a very one-sided view. You should honestly read it with a grain of salt. Its definitely worth reading but you should be aware that its going to brain wash you into eating healthier and cutting out the best food on the planet. McDonalds. I thought the book was good but there were parts that were a little too long and some chapters that were irrelevant. But it does spark up many questions and makes you take a step back on some issues. But its just like watching a Michael Moore film. Very one sided. I know alot of people who stopped eating fast food after this. I personally ran to the nearest McDonald's to grab some fries from all the talk.
