  • Overlooked 3DO exclusive gem!

Phoenix 3 was released in 1995 exclusively for the Panasonic 3DO console. The game is a Sci-Fi futuristic action title with some very enjoyable side-scrolling (like The Terminator, Robocop & Alien) and space combat missions (like Wing Commander III) to play through. You are on a planet trying to stop the alien invaders from threatening peace of the people and you must uncover an ancient weapon to eradicate them. The cutscenes let the story unfold without being overbearing or too long. The first few missions are located on the planet involving weapon combat, some platforming, avoiding deadly traps and exploring different areas collecting items. Once you complete those missions you then enter your ship for space combat. These missions are awesome to play. I recommend the 3DO Flightstick ...

  • This game is funny to look at

Ok, I'm a huge 3DO fan and I think Studio 3DO came out with some great games for it's system. Phoenix 3 is not one of them. This game is a joke. The graphics are super cheap and the cut sceens are pathetic. The best part of the game is laughing when your character jumps. He looks like a total dork. It's Atari 2600 calibur movement. If you want a great 3DO platform game, check out Gex, but stay far away from this one.

  • GREAT GAME

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOME VINTAGE GAMING ACTION HERES A GAME FOR YOU THIS IS A GREAT GAME ON A OFTEN OVERLOOKED SYSTEM ITS NOT LIKE PLAYING HALO BUT THERE IS SOMETHING TO BE SAID FOR THE NOT SO OVER THE TOP GAME THIS GAME IS NOT MUNDANE IN ANY WAY BEST BET IS TO SEE FOR YOURSELF

  • Phoenix 3 (3DO)

I think this game was pushed out like alot other games for the 3do system not using 3do's full power and show you what the system can do. They gust wanted games out there on the shelfs not cool games that make the system.
