  • not working correctly

pros: it isn't having power problems because it creates a bit of heat which is a sign of life and is getting recognized by the system cons: in windows device manager it has an orange symbol next to the device and there is an error: "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system. (Code 12)" the same slot has worked fine with other devices. overall I don't know if I should trust this or just return it. I can try using a PCIe riser because the board I'm using has multiple smaller PCIe slots.

  • Good for value (at 2020 price)

Tesla GPU works great for my hpc needs. At the discounted price as of 2020, it is high valued for double precision needs. However, it does come with a drawback of the old GDDR5 memory.

  • Video editing k40 is a must

It's installed in a dell t3500 workstation, 6 core processor, 24g of ram ,and a 1060 graphics card 6g. The k40 gpu addition cut video rendering over half the time. 30 min video rendered less than 15 minutes depending on effects.
