    A great camera

It's a lightweight, mostly plastic film camera, so meant for the beginner photographer but can also be used by serious pros I think, as it has a manual mode as well as aperture priority, shutter priority and of course program or auto mode. In fact many of features one finds on higher end digital cameras. I can't comment on the pictures as I am using it right now and have to develop the film etc. Film cameras are not like digital, as it's not just the camera body, a lot depends on the lens used, the film stock and ISO etc. And most importantly, who is behind the lens :).

  • Film Camera Experiance

I like the camera and the deal I got for it. What I don't like is not the seller's fault but the fact that at times, if the focus is not right, even in manual mode, the camera refuses to take the picture until I adjust it just right. I bought it because i needed a 35 mm film camera for a black and white photography course I'm taking at school.

  • Ease of use, great pics, you cannot go wrong with a Minolta Maxxum

I purchased a lot (5) of these cameras with the thinking that the wife and kids would get into photography, for those that decided to this camera was extremely easy to learn and use, in my opinion it has every basic feature that you could want and makes an excellent beginners 35mm SLR or an excellent back up camera, plus a wide slection of lenses to choose from.

  • Minolta Maxxum STsi 35mm Film Camera

My original camera of the same model fell recently and the battery cover popped off. I have had this camera for almost 10 years and it still takes excellent pictures in auto and manual mode. People ask why I won't go digital so I say: Why? This camera is a gem!?

  • Konica Minolta Maxxum STsi 35mm Film Camera

Great camera system; easy to use; ease in loading film and batteries. Lightweight camera Recommend this film camera ahead of the Canon or Nikon.
