    SUSPENFUL, DARK, DISTURBING, EXCELLENT NOIR!

    A very intense & sinister Noir with an excellent cast creating a very dark & diabolical crime drama. Superbly filmed. A must for any Noir fans.

    Mid-fifties "film noir" end of an era period piece.

    Good period piece for the mid-fifties. Torture scene is laughable by 21st century standards. Richard conte plays his "Don Barzini" type character true to the times. Plenty of known supporting actors for old movie buffs to spot,watch, and enjoy. It's far from Shakespeare but if you like "film noir", it's better than many other offerings available.
