Casio Exilim EX-S770
I bought the Casio S770 because of it's compact size. Easy to carry anywhere and takes great pictures. The built-in features give lots of flexibility to the average camera user. I am an older person so the anti-shake/vibration features helps a lot. Have taken a couple videos with it and they too are quite nice. The available light has a lot of effect on the video result but the camera is able to take nice videos under normal to lower light indoor shooting. I highly recommend this camera, in fact I bought a second one for another family member. As always be careful choosing a seller. One of my cameras was advertised as good quality and complete accessories. Got the camera and found excessive dings and scratches all over the camera. Contacted the seller and was offered a ... Great camera at a great price! Lots of Features!
I recently recieved my Casio EX-s770 through an ebay purchase. I am very impressed. Overall the camera is very stylish and sleek (I have the midnight blue color). I love that the majority of the camera is a metal surface and seems to be well manufactured. Playing around with some of the features for a few minutes I quickly came acrost the "best shot" mode. This allows the user to quickly find which type of picture they would like to take, whether it's black and white, sepia, widescreen, action shot, portrait, etc. etc. etc. etc. and I do mean etc. I didn't know there was so many ways to take a picture :) A really nice feature of this model is the usb docking cradle. A Tiny Camera with a Lot of Features
I love how small the camera is and that it takes video on tiny memory-cards, with the HQ picture of equal quality to VHS or 8mm tapes. You can keep it in your shirt pocket and not be stuck carrying something that's obviously a movie camera. It also takes snapshots, but I decided to buy it primarily as a video camera because of its size and picture quality. I like how large and bright the screen is and I like the "best shot" feature that lets you preset the conditions of the shoot (low light, scenery, etc.). The anti-shake feature does help keep the image steady but I'd suggest getting the tiny tripod that's available for it: It's easier to hold that way during a long take. I haven't yet used the editing function that comes on a disc that you put into your computer; it looks promising.... I ... I dislike the instruction book being on another disc, so you can't easily get your questions answered. As a result, there are things about the camera that I still haven't figured out---how to get the video to play from start to finish and not stop at the end of every shot, for instance. It's also difficult to change the battery and memory card---and I dislike that. The instructions tell you that if you shoot in 16.9 the picture will fill your HDTV screen, but it doesn't: There are still wide black margins at left and right and I haven't found anything on the camera settings to fix that problem. I wish the macro function were easier to use and that the digital zoom could be turned off when you're shooting video. But I expect that I'll find everything easier with practice. I'm planning to take this camera and not my Hi-8 rig with me on vacation this year, so I'll know more later. But so far, it's a good buy...

Good screen size and the download features off the CD provided works first time without complications. The only down side to this purchase was the basic reference book. Very little information provided in this book. You are really left to figure it out for yourself. If you are not good with tech stuff you might have to play with it on your own for a while to figure out all the features. Big improvement over clunky bricks of old. I have not used the movie feature extensively but a test proved it did work. You could shoot basic short films pretty well, maybe catch a short clip of Dick Cheney getting an envelope under the table from Haliburton. (just kidding) Good ... I would have liked to know more about that pre-purchase. I also thought it was a different color blue.
