Set decades after the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime series, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D Stardust Accelerator World Championship 2009 sends players to a new era of card dueling, where battles take place during futuristic motorcycle races held in large, sold-out stadiums. The "Story" mode is composed of card collection, standard card battles, mini-games, and "Turbo Duel" racing, and the game offers more than 2,800 playable cards set in 3D environments. The new "World Championship" mode lets gamers hone their trading card skills through single-player battles or multiplayer duels via Wi-Fi connection, and each copy of Stardust Accelerator World Championship 2009 includes three exclusive Yu-Gi-Oh! trading cards.

    The revolutionary game in the WC series

    This game's now a classic for the fans of the YuGiOh. It brought many new features which the previous versions of the WorldChampionship series lacked, and it also improved several characteristics. The A.I., for example, is way better than it used to be, and the story mode finally had... Well, story. Besides, this game depicts the beginning of the 5Ds (and Synchros) arc, which was my favourite time. Nowhere else in the DS games you're going to be able to play with Goyo Guardian, Dark Strike Fighter, or use a Plant deck in its best. To think I could bought this product brand new, it's warmed my heart up.

    Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Stardust Accelerator Review

    Ok. This game is actually a pretty good games. The good things about it would be that this is the 1st Yu Gi Oh World Championships game to have a story mode in it. It also has the automatic language set feature. On the box it says it only comes in English, French, and Spanish but i found this untrue when i turned my game on and it showed up in German. So basically whatever language you have your DS set to is the language that will pop up. I have many other games that don't have this feature so that's a pretty good thing. The wide variety of cards is also good during gameplay. Overall this game is great. The only bad thing about it is that when you're dueling you're not zoomed in on your monsters so all your monsters look little. But other than that this game is great. =D

    Great Gift

    I bought this game for my nephew, who is 9yrs. old. He LOVES this game! He says that it is easy to learn. And he was able to advance and navigate 5Ds all while keeping his attention. Which is not an easy thing to do for him because he expects SO much from every new game he receives. I have bought many games for him in the past and this game became a definite fav from day one. HITS: I have heard almost nothing but good things about this game... MISSES: My nephew really does not like some of the monsters being stronger than his own monsters. But I believe in no time at all he will have the strongest monster in the entire game :o) 5Stars*****

    If you liked the world champ. yugiohs up til now, you'll love this product

    i had to purchase this game because its the 1st 5d yugioh game for the ds and i rate it 4 stars because i think improvements can and will be made to the options menu where there could be tag dueling and an increase to the cpu speed. Otherwise, music,gameplay,graphics,coloration, all enjoyable especially the difficulty of the game.
