    Northern Technologies Boxelite 10,000 Lux - Great for combating SAD

    This light is very simple to use as well as convenient. It's great to keep on the breakfast table and get your body a dose of bright light to start the day. It really helps keep me on my sleep schedule and definitely helps fight the winter blues. I prefer the design of this unit over others because it is so simple and easy to use. It is easily stored away if you are expecting guests. This unit provides 10,000 lux of light at a distance of up to 17 inches. It is truly the best light box on the market.

    Not that bright

    It's not as bright as advertized or, at least, compared to lights made by another company. It did not hold up during international shipping. Plastic screws hold the defuser panel to the light frame. Three of four screws lost their heads during shipping.

    Buy it used

    Way too expensive as a full price new product for what is, literally, a metal box with some fluorescent bars in it (especially when other similar products deliver the same lux for much cheaper). But it has helped me already and, having bought it at a discount, I'm happy with the large lamp surface area.
