About this product

Product Information

Unlike other versions of Lode Runner, most of which have 100 or more levels, the NES rendition has just 50. The trademark edit mode is included, but you can't save your creations. Another problem is the large size of the characters, ladders and other items, which forces the use of a scrolling playfield. Since you can't see the entire screen at once, it's easy to unknowingly walk into a trap or get blindsided by an enemy. On the positive side, the game has flawless controls. Negotiating the ladders and platforms and digging holes is silky smooth. Although flawed compared to earlier renditions on other platforms, Lode Runner for the NES is still good, challenging fun. <!-- Book -->

  • Simple, old, but challenging

A simple setup with simple graffics and simple game play and rules. Not a shooter game but a challenging action puzzle game, almost the way tetris is. Almost impossible to complete the game but well worth the try and very addictive

  • Great service! Quick to send the cartridge. Game was in great condition.

Loderunner was a childhood favorite game that I never owned but had the opportunity to buy now as an adult. Simple adventure game for the nes.

  • Lode Runner

A decent port of a deceptively simple game. Definitely worth owning, but I personally prefer the "Bounty Bob" series that existed on the Atari 400/800 systems, which was a mix of this game and Pac Man. Anyway, this one is good - maybe not the best version to own, but a decent one nonetheless.

  • A fun yet challenging game for everyone!

Lode Runner for the NES is a fun, yet challenging game that all player from all ages can enjoy. Excellent game. I would recommend this game to any NES owners out there. A must buy indeed!
