Reminds me of basic training
The title says it all. I seen this movie after it was made and I can't figure out why it's not as popular as other movies of its kind. I guess because nobody ever heard of it, at least nobody I've asked. I would recommend to anybody who wants to see what real life was back then to watch this movie. Realistically reminds me of the day of Peace, Love and War and don't forget boot camp... The DVD is much better quality than the VHS version.The title says it all. This movie is based on recruits from boot camp to fighting in Vietnam. It is an excellent example of realistic comedy and turmoil amongst the troops in Vietnam. I have seen alot of Vietnam movies and this is my favorite for what it really was. The story is about Marines but all Nam Vets can relate with it. For those who want to understand how things were this is an open window. This is the recommendation of a thirty year veteran.This movie is based on recruits from boot camp to fighting in Vietnam. It is an excellent example of realistic comedy and turmoil amongst the troops in Vietnam. I have seen alot of Vietnam movies and this is my favorite for what it really was. A good story of the early parts of Viet Nam war.
Very good movie about Marines in Viet Nam in 1965/1966. Story is well told and well acted. The language is rough and non-stop. I saw some similarities with my own Viet Nam experiences.

This is an awesome movie. IT IS THE ACTION MOVIE OF ACTION MOVIES.
This is a great movie and the quality is like none other. I do not know how i could have missed this movie when it came to life in 2008.
