Product Information

The Yashica TLR camera functions as a twin-lens reflex camera. Hence, it comes with a 45-degree mirror, a photographic lens, and a viewfinder lens. The camera operator looks through the second lens from above, so the Yashica A twin lens works great for shooting in situations where an eye-level camera would attract too much attention. This medium-format film camera is designed for use with 120 mm film and uses a manual adjustment for film advancing. The Yashica TLR camera features a strong, sturdy construction. As the two lenses on this Yashica A twin lens are connected, the focus on the focusing screen corresponds to that on the film. Furthermore, the mirror in this medium-format film camera remains in place during exposure, keeping shutter lag to a minimum. The image of the subject remains visible on the finder screen on the Yashica TLR camera through exposure. As a consequence, the camera can be used to produce stills with special lighting effects. This camera also features a socket for attachment to a tripod.

    Get one if you can!

    I wanted to try using a different format film so I went with Medium 120 format. It is amazing and the camera really performs amazingly. I have developed some of the film it shot and they all look amazing. The camera is extremely easy to use and gets a lot of attention in public. If you have a chance to get a Yashica A dual lens camera I would do it! They are a great product.

    Love this camera and you will too.

    These cameras take super pictures in an old school way. Once you learn it the quality is something you can be proud of and also helps you become a better photographer. Make sure the shutter speeds are within tolerance and try to get one that's in good shape. They are out there. For the money you can't beat this twin reflex Yashica A!

    You'll love it after a couple rolls.

    The A was my introduction to twin-lens and medium format photography. It takes a little getting used to, but after a couple rolls, you'll fall in love with it. And if the lens and shutter are in good shape, it's capable of taking the best photos you've ever shot. Unlike many vintage cameras, light leaks aren't a problem with Yashica TLRs.

    Great product for starting out!

    If you have never used a camera like this one, its a good experience. I'm using it for a photography class, using medium format film, the one thing i wish it had is different options for lenses.

    LOVE IT!

    I LOVE this camera. It has been so much fun to use it. It is also an eye-catcher because most people do not see cameras like these often.
