This was a gift for my son and his wife.
My son, in another state, and his wife have sort of gone off the grid, in that they do not have cable or satellite, and I knew this was one of the series he liked. They received this in excellent time, and are pleased with having it. Like me, when they enjoy watching a program or reading a book, they do so often, so this will continue to be an ongoing gift. I have never seen it, so I cannot go into details, but I have a son of few words and when he says he really liked it, that was enough for me! I can honestly say that it was a good purchase and I think he may decide to purchase more in future. Boxset's cover box
One positive statement and one negative statement: I'm very happy that Farscape now comes in one boxset, only because I never owned it and it was so easy to pick it up all at once at a cheaper price, plus the nice season sets that haven't been in stores almost as soon as they came out. The only thing I am disappointed with this new boxset is that the box is a cheap thin cardboard. The original sets that ended up being limited edition for each season was a nice hard cardboard so it feels like hardcover book casings. As careful as I am, just from opening this new box a few times it's already torn a bit and like a cheap cake box that you have to open and close instead of one side already open. It's my absolute favorite series. I wasn't into it at all when it was on sci-fi, but when my ... Farscape is an Action, Drama, Romance, Comedy and whimsical all packed into a sci-fi. Check it out!

Farscape : unique and worthy of any sci-fi fan's collection
Farscape is an interesting sci-fi series for a variety of reasons. First, it engages the viewer with a kaleidoscope of characters that are in a constant state of conflict but must work together to survive. Second, while the CGI is a little dated it holds up very well, unlike some other older science fiction shows. Third, the unique dynamic of the living ship in which the characters inhabit adds another dimension to the already fascinating tale which is Farscape. While this series is not for everyone ( it's Australian and there are several muppet characters) it is without question an incredible achievement in the annals of sci-fi and fantasy.
