    GOOD... BUT ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT!

    WE HAVE USED THESE FOR YEARS. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE THAT WE HAVE FOUND IS THE COVERING ON THE EAR AND HEADPIECE. IT DOESN'T LAST LONG BEFORE IT BEGINS TO PEEL. WE HAVE TO CONSTANTLY BUY REPLACEMENT COVERS WITCH IS A PAIN. IT'S A GOOD PRODUCT BUT SONY IS TOO GOOD A COMPANY TO OFFER A PRODUCT WITH SUCH AND INFERIOR COVERINGS.

    I like Sony - but these headphones died on me... and Sony didn't offer much assistance.

    Got a set of these MDR-RF985R for Christmas in 2016 and used them only a couple times over the last 2 years. Picked them up after about 6 months of just sitting on the charging cradle and now they don't work at all. Contacted Sony support - tried different cords, sources, channels, etc. No use. Some feint static and that is it. Very disappointed that they just flat died without hardly any use. No relief was offered from Sony. "send it to a repair shop". I have other Sony products that I would endorse. These headphones I cannot endorse. I suspect the MDR-RF985RK (with the K) may have made some design improvement... but Sony didn't offer any help for me to update/upgrade so I am going to look elsewhere for my next set.

    Still working on setting it up

    Everything looks good. Unfortunately, there were no instructions. We are in our 80's so are still trying to figure it all out. So, unfortunately we are unable to give a review of any kind other than, it arrived on time and looks in excellent condition.

    Very good, decent sound headphones.

    My husband has an identical one that is set up on one TV. He wanted another for the bedroom TV. He is a bit hard of hearing and normally has the TV volume too loud for me. They are durable and decent for sound quality.
