John Carpenter's The Thing Soundtrack
IMO the most disturbing soundtrack in horror world. If you've never seen the movie I suggest you watch it first. Then get your hands on this soundtrack. Composed by Ennio Moricone, it was brilliantly composed. With every sound Ennio marked his status with this soundtrack. I can just remember the opening theme which is the most recognized horror opening to true cult classic enthusiants. The "heart beats" sound enlighting the listner, the vived view of the cold artic was simply a chilling feeling. That is all this soundtrack is; chilling, sad, psychological, and mind-blowing. My number one(1) choice in selecting a soundtrack that represents HORROR sound. This CD is out-of-print now. You can get your's if you search ebay for a while. They show up once in a while.
