By incorporating never before seen reconnaisance photos as well as graphic first hand accounts by the veterans who gave their all on June 6, 1944 the blood and sacrifice that became the longest day comes alive. By incorporporating high tech topographical images, the story of the most important day in human history is presented from a unique dual perspective. Not only do we see the the battle from the sights of a paratroopers carbine of a ranger's BAR, but we are given logistical information creatively preseneted to provide the overall picture.     D-Day: The Lost Evidence

    This dvd takes a look at the D-Day invasion of Normandy,France. It is a combination of original film, re-enactments and the battles as told by veterans from the allied and axis sides. They use aerial photos from the actual invasion to give a better understanding as to what was happening on the ground and out at sea. One disappointing aspect of this documentary was that it almost solely dealt with the Omaha and Utah beaches and had almost nothing to say about the British and Canadians landings on the Gold,Sword and Juno beaches. Overall it is a well produced documentary but not in anyway a thorough examination of D-Day in itself.

    D-Day: The Lost Evidence

    This DVD was a great bit of history on D-Day. It also has a lot of parts with interviews of veterans of the war including Richard Winters from Easy Company (Band of Brothers). Very informative and fun to watch.
