Select is the key word.
This unit looked like the one I crushed so I gave it a chance but I just couldn't get it to 'pair' with my fireplace. Since my problem was that I had crushed the originals case, I found that the internal electronics of mine was not broken so I simply swapped my electronics into the 'new' case and all is well. I would suggest that 'select' could have been more specific as to models to give a customer a better chance at gettng a unit that works.
