Players reenlist for more mercenary combat through massively destructible environments in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. A direct sequel to the original, the game has players resuming their place among the AWOL squad that found its fortune at the end of the first Bad Company. Picking up the plotline soon after the end of the first game, the story follows the group through the rocky Russian border and beyond, with missions set in dense jungles and barren deserts as well as snow-covered mountains.<br><br>Buildings and other objects of all sizes can be damaged or destroyed completely, with the right firepower at the right time and place. Players can proceed through each mission as they see fit, be it through stealthy ambushes, keen tactical strikes, or heavily armed frontal assaults that leave nothing but smoldering rubble in their wake.<br><br>As in the first game, players customize their characters by choosing an equipment kit before the start of each mission. In Bad Company 2, four basic kits are available: Assault, Engineer, Recon, and Medic. Each gives the character special abilities and limitations, encouraging squad-mates to support one another and work together as a team. As in earlier Battlefield games, players may commandeer vehicles they find in their missions, including motorcycles, patrol boats, tanks, and Blackhawk helicopters.<br><br>Characters earn experience for killing enemies and accomplishing mission objectives. Experience points can be spent to upgrade the character. Player characters can also collect dog tags from the enemies they take down. In addition to the single-player campaign, the game supports a variety of online multiplayer options, including an assault-style "Rush" mode in which teams take turns defending and attacking crates of valuable cargo.<br><br>The "Ultimate Edition" includes the previously download-only multiplayer title Battlefield 1943, and "Onslaught" mode that send waves of enemies at up to four players, the unlocked extras from Battlefield: Bad Company 2 -- Limited Edition, and VIP downloads.

Picture or description failed to mention this (listed as “like new”). Seller admitted to repackaging the disc and claimed he only rates the disc, though he described item and disc separately. Got aggressive when I asked for a partial refund. Told him I was trying to avoid this neg feedback. Do not trust descriptions from this seller.

Pictures and description were accurate, price was very reasonable, shipping time was prompt, however there was no kind of internal padding inside the disc case to make sure the disc wouldn't come loose during shipping, my disc did come loose in the case during shipping causing some additional light damage that was not shown in the pictures however when I went to test the disc it still works just fine. Not really a big deal at the end of the day. 8/10 would recommend anyone buy from this seller.

    Deeper and more thoughtout than Call of Duty games.

    I've been playing first person shooters since Counter Strike 1.5 came out, so I think I have a little knowledge in the genre. The Call of Duty franchise has been beating on the same dead horse for a long time and for some reason... kids still love it! I'm an enthusiast when it comes to military shooters and my standards are higher. I look for a game with depth, balance and the life span of the game will last longer than 1 year until the sequel comes out. Here comes Battlefield Bad Company 2. This game is more than guns and scoring kills. This game is about team work. The problem with COD is everyone is out to be number 1 on the scoreboard and thats all. This game is for those who want to work together with players to achieve victory for the team. Class based and more realistic than COD, ...

    Great value

    Just the extras this game comes with are worth the price. It comes with battlefield 1943, onslaught mode and the VIP pass unlocks 7 map packs so far! Couldn't believe all it comes with. Make sure you buy an unopened copy so you know the codes haven't been used. I wish the game would allow you to turn off swearing like Gears of War, instead I had to resort to turning off dialog all together. This game is all about the online multiplayer, some of the best online multiplayer ever created! Huge great looking environments that are completely destructible. Blowing up a wall or an entire building becomes part of your strategy. It is objective based, so you are rewarded for having a strategy, and if a team is full of people who camp and snipe, they lose, as they should!

    this first person game has the best online experience.

    Your game experience is kept exciting and action packed. Finding the campaign challenging after 1 year of play was remarkable. online game play was rated best. Drive tanks, fly planes, and use an assortment of equipment to overcome your opponent. Funding in a+++.

    Best Game EVER!

    This is one of the best games I've ever played, I liked it even more than COD Modern warfare 2! The Graphics are excellent, the story line is even better than the first Bad Co., and the online play is Awesome! EA has always put out a great product and BC2 is one of their best! If you liked Bad Company, you'll love Bad Company 2. If you haven't played either then get them both, you will not be disappointed!

    Excellent Game

    Game has great graphics and the multiplayer is amazing. The single campaign mode is also great. Very underrated single campaign mode.
